How To Be Natural Pt 1

I am proud to say that it will be one year next month that I have been natural. The journey has not been an easy one for me, I have been struggling for a while to accept the new natural me. I have to admit that I have thought about perming my hair on multiple occasions but the thought of having a year of discipline and hardwork destroyed by relapsing back to the creamy crack has kept me happily nappy. Not only have I gone natural with my hairI have also tried to change my entire lifestyle to incorporate more healthy habits.
Here are a few tips on How To Be Natural:
  1. Drink 8 glasses of water a day - Our bodies are made up of 75 percent water, which is responsible for transporting oxygen and nutrients into the cell. It also detoxifies and regulates our body temperature.
  2. Eat plenty of vegetables - Even First Lady Michelle Obama thinks this is super important. Vegetables help us to fight off the signs of aging, lower our risk of cancer, high blood pressure and heart disease. I can certainly get over the taste of broccoli if it means I can stay young forever.
  3. Exercise - We all know that exercise is important but not many of us are willing to do it. I would much rather sit at home watching television than get on the treadmill, the thought of exercise scares me. I know that's terrible to say but that's how I feel. All feelings aside, I know that the health benefits of exercise are far more important than being a couch potato. Exercise helps to reduce the risk of heart attack, high blood pressure, premature death. Its also a great way to lose exercise. Knowing that wouldn't you much rather jump on the treadmill than veg out.
